London’s prosperity was historically dependent on the Thames’ role as a site of trade and industry. Since the development of container shipping in the 1960’s much of that activity has migrated downriver. Can it, once again, offer them a valuable source of employment? With an increasing need to find sustainable means of transport for people, goods and waste are we making best use of this extraordinary resource at the heart of our city? Refreshments included.
