Incredible Journeys are made during migration seasons by birds big and small. But did you know that bats, eels, butterflies and even spiders migrate too? Find out more on our self-guided Incredible Journeys trail.

Start your own journey in our theatre and take in awe-inspiring images and facts on the big screen. Follow this with our weight-lifting challenge: can you lift a weight equal to a Bewick’s swan off the ground? You’ll be amazed that a bird that heavy can get off the ground, let alone fly thousands of miles!

Trace animals’ migratory routes on our maxi-map: can you calculate the true distance covered by the Arctic tern on its incredible annual trip? The trail takes you around our reserve too, where you can look out for newly arrived birds, fresh from their very own incredible journeys.

Free with paid admission. Collect your trail from admissions when you arrive.

You can also take part in our Incredible Journeys arts & crafts sessions and activities.
