In this game of twists and turns, a poor Basque shepherd boy must overcome great odds to become the person he really is. Travel with him and Cat Gerrard as they shift shapes, go between worlds and pursue a sorcerer without a soul.

7.30pm – 9pm

The Forest of Chance Encounters – or She gave me Pizza with Murder in her Heart - with Sarah Rundle

Three boys meet in the forest, all on separate adventures, or so it seems: one seeks a fortune, another has mislaid his wife and the third was lured there by a hare. And on the other side of the wood is Catherine the Wise, imprisoned and forced to work her own magic to gain her release. Join Sarah Rundle as she weaves together four Calvino stories in this forest of chance encounters.

Sunday 26th October
2pm-3.30pm
Story Bazaar Shorts

A tantalising taster of short storytelling treats from Lucy Lill, Sarah Rundle and Will Pinchin.

4pm-6.30pm
Uncivilised Tales - with Ben Macfadyen, Joanna Coleman, Adam Weymouth, Dougie Strang and Kristin Blakstad
For centuries, much of the human race has been telling itself a story: that our species is separate from nature, and destined to rule over it. Now that narrative has brought us to the brink of catastrophe. What new stories do we tell in an age of environmental crisis? Five storytellers attempt to step outside the human, bringing us tales from beyond the pale of industrial civilisation. Prepare for rewilderness.

7.30pm – 9.30pm

The Four Chambers - with Clare Muireann Murphy, Tim Ralphs and Cat Gerrard

The heart has its own strange and wonderful ways. Three storytellers bring you tales that will make your heart thump, break, bleed and flutter.

Plus other diversions, including a bookstall & other stalls, including prints & cards from artist Melissa Launay.

& don't forget to leave some time to try the Russet's delicious menu!
