Visitors to this year’s Photomonth in East London will find Leica located just off Brick Lane in Dray Walk, surrounded by the cafes and shops of the bustling Old Truman Brewery. Leica’s pop up - Photography Unplugged, is the perfect destination for those wishing to expose the real photographer in them. Leica will host a range of talks, workshops and exhibitions in October, aimed at discovering the essence of photography without the superfluous complexity that can stifle individual creativity.
Participants are invited to meet at 9:45 at the pop up for welcome refreshments before attending a presentation by Matt Stuart during which he will introduce his work and discuss the work of the iconic street photographers who have inspired him.

Accompanied by Akademie Manager Robin Sinha, participants will then head into Brick Lane area having the unique opportunity to witness Stuart in action. Stuart will also share some do’s and don’ts of street photography whilst giving the group tips on enhancing their photographic technique. Participants will reconvene at the pop up to discuss their experience and ask Stuart any last questions.

Participants must have a working knowledge of their camera. Essentials to Remember:
- Your camera
- A fully charged battery
- A formatted SD card / a new role of film (if shooting a film camera)
- Warm clothing and comfortable shoes
