Patricia Hammond’s beautifully reconstructed performances of Victorian, Edwardian, 1920s, 30s and 1940s songs have charmed audiences around the world. For this special event, mezzo-soprano Patricia and multi-instrumentalist Matt Redman will be recreating the spirit of the First World War with songs from Britain, Germany and France. The duo will also perform hits from the time such as 1916's Only Girl in the World and Daisy Daisy, songs which kept spirits alive and were vital in transporting soldiers’ minds away from the battlefields.
Performing acapella in Pitzhanger Manor's Georgian Eating Room, and featuring the guitar, piano and banjo, this promises to be an entertaining and nostalgic evening for all.
