Thirtysomething Maruna runs the local pub and lives with her sister and domineering mother in this deadpan portrait of village life. With few eligible men around she sleeps with the blundering mayor and the promiscuous roofer, while looking for love. Opening with a funeral and closing with a murder, Krobot’s darkly humourous debut presents eccentric characters living an isolated life in a forgotten place of grim beauty, wonderfully captured by actors from his award- winning Dejvice Theatre Company.

With Tatiana Vilhelmová, Lenka Krobotová, Ivan Trojan and Johanna Tesařová
