Acclaimed director, Martin Parr, brings Nick Harrison's heart-wrenching, one-woman, bittersweet comedy, Regarding X, to Hackney Attic.
A Spanish beach resort provides the backdrop for Annie Aldington's mesmerising portrayal of Eileen - the hilariously camp, 50-something, classic Brit abroad. Her brilliant monologue is laden with the voices of her friends and family, but Eileen's fun-filled past is not all it seems - twisting, turning and gradually eroding to reveal a dark and painful truth.
Previous audiences have said -
'Deeply moving... brilliantly directed with clarity, sensitivity, humanity and flair - a great balance between the comedy and tragedy of this woman's life' A.B.
'The audience shed a tear and took a shared gasp' R.C.
'The 70s and 80s references had me howling with laughter' A.M.
