On 17 December, St James’s Church in Paddington will play host to a charity Christmas concert in support of Age UK Westminster.
Generously sponsored by CSSC Sports and Leisure and Bonhams, the concert has been put together by talented young conductor Johann von Stuckenbruck, founder of the Kings Chamber Orchestra, and features renowned soloist Dunja Lavrova. The two hour programme will include pieces by Verdi, Saint-Saëns, Strauss and Dvořák, set against the atmospheric backdrop of 400 capacity St James’s Church.
Age UK Westminster is a local charity that provides services and support to inspire, enable and empower older people in the City of Westminster. One million older people in the UK regularly go an entire month without speaking to anyone, and the befriending scheme operated by Age UK Westminster will be particularly important over the festive period.
All proceeds from ticket sales go to support the services of Age UK Westminster.
