Crap Film Club Presents Plan 9 From Outer Space

"Greetings my friends! We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives! ...". With these immortal words, so begins perhaps the most infamous crap film ever made. Originally titled "Grave Robbers From Outer Space", the plot (what there is of it) centres around extraterrestrial beings who are seeking to stop humanity from creating a doomsday weapon that would destroy the universe. To achieve this, the aliens implement "Plan 9", a scheme to resurrect the Earth's dead and, in doing so, cause chaos in order to get the planet's attention.

Stare in disbelief at the cardboard props and wooden acting! Fall in love with the legendary John "Bunny" Breckinridge who, in his only film role as "The Ruler, sports very visible mascara and lipstick, constantly rolls his eyes and mugs for the camera. Crap Film Club, or CFC, is a place to celebrate and commiserate with the movies that went straight to DVD. It’s where we accept poor scripts, poor acting, poor camera work and provide a platform of non-judgement. In fact, the less critically acclaimed the film, the better. Together, we watch the ridiculous, we enjoy the non-believable, we congratulate the absurd. In association with The Book Club, Crap Film Club is proud to present a bi-monthly night of cinematic failure.
