The Magic Paintbrush

Come and join Theatre Peckham on their exciting journey to Canada Water Culture Space this December. Become engrossed in the enchanting world of The Magic Paintbrush and follow Ling and the Dragon on their fun and inspiring adventures. This colourful, musical production tells an old Chinese tale about a young girl who can use her magic paintbrush to help others and overcome her, and her family’s difficulties.


This show comes at an exciting time for Theatre Peckham, as they move out of their old home in Camberwell whilst a new Theatre and studios are built. Their offices and workshops are now based in Peckham Library however this year’s Christmas show utilises the amazing theatre at Canada Water Culture Space. The Magic Paintbrush provides some of the young people on Theatre Peckham’s rich, and diverse performing arts programme the opportunity to perform alongside a team of professional actors.


Written and directed by Teresa Early with music by Roger Goslyn, this inspirational and exciting production of The Magic Paintbrush looks set to be unmissable this Christmas term.
