This course is suitable for all senior staff and team leaders involved with classroom observation and professional development. Indeed all teaching staff will find it helpful to understand what Ofsted are looking for in an outstanding lesson and what the teacher now needs to demonstrate to achieve this.

The training session will examine:
the current emphasis of inspections, how to observe lessons using Ofsted methods, how good internal classroom observation can be used to raise standards and how using a variety of teaching styles and compelling learning experiences can be linked to improving attainment and progress.

Delegates will have the opportunity to observe a range of filmed lessons and discuss and evaluate their content.

Essential information for schools not inspected for last two years and those outstanding schools (graded 2 for teaching) prior to Jan 2012.
