Redemption

January is generally accepted to be the dreariest month, with over-indulgences from Christmas still lingering and more people than ever committing to a booze free month. Redemption, the alcohol free bar movement, is returning with a month long residency throughout January to show that you can have a night off without having a night in. Throughout the month, the bar will be serving delicious mocktails and vegan food.

Back by popular demand after the success of its previous residencies in Hackney and Portobello, Redemption is now coming to central London for the whole of January in partnership with Fairly Square, Holborn.

Fairly Square is London’s first fair-trade bar, with a full bar serving drinks and eats from fair-trade, organic and sustainable sources; a social enterprise bar created with people and planet in mind.

As with its previous residencies, Redemption will offer a drinks menu focussed around delicious, hydrating, coconut water based mocktails. On the menu will be plant-based, 'high-raw' food, great for vegans, veggies, flexitarians, raw foodies or just the culinary curious. Redemption uses all the latest tools and techniques to make health-enhancing plant foods the stars of the show and not just an afterthought, bringing out the best of the carefully selected organic produce in the kitchen. As always, Redemption ensures that no animals are harmed or killed to create the food served; food will be sourced locally and where possible organically, and there will be a zero waste policy.

As well as serving up culinary delights for vegans, vegetarians and raw foodies, Redemption will be debunking the myth that you need to drink to have a laugh. From 11th January 2015, London’s freshest new pop-up bar will be transforming dull Sunday nights into unforgettable evenings of giggles and guffaws. So You Think You’re Funny winner Tommy Rowson and Laughing Horse winner 2014 Jenny Collier are among the award winning comedians set to grace Redemption’s stage over the next few months.

Redemption has also partnered with Cancer Research UK to support the charity’s January Dryathlon® campaign by offering everyone taking part a free mocktail with every meal throughout January to keep motivation levels up.
