Alara Kings Cross Wassail Party 2015

Alara Wholefoods presents its annual Wassail Party, which will take place on Friday 27th of February at Alara Wholefoods premises near King’s Cross.

Now in it’s forth years Alara Wholefoods and Urban Orchard project join their forces to gather together Camley Street community (and beyond) for annual Winter Wassail in Alara’s renewed permaculture garden. The Alara Wholefood’s team sees the Winter Wassail 2015 as a great opportunity to
engage Londoners in the importance of working hand in hand towards a sustainable and healthy future in a fun and educational way.

As the first food manufacturer in the world to go Zero Waste, Alara Wholefoods will also be celebrating their 40th year of sustainable business. From starting the business with £2 found on the street back in 1975, to becoming a successful and leading organic manufacturing business in 2015,with a mission to become the ‘Most Sustainable Food Manufacturer on Earth by 2018’. Official London Leader in Sustainability and Alara Wholefoods’ owner, Alex Smith is using every opportunity to educate the community towards a greener way of living and Alara’s Winter Wassail is a great way to share such knowledge.

Event programme also includes information hubs from ‘Organisation
name’, ‘Organisation Name’ and ‘Organisation name’ providing guests with plenty of hands on resources about ethical buying, local gardening and even a free composting services.

The event offers free entry, refreshments and entertainment, but everyone is encouraged to donate to the Urban Orchard Project charity, which dedicated to creating skilled communities to plant, care for and harvest fruit trees, connecting urban communities and increasing access to fruit.
