La Habitación Roja (The Red Room) are an alternative rock band from Valencia formed on the east coast of Spain. They have outlived most bands and performers of their generation, transcending the indie niche and establishing themselves as one of the longest, most solid and respected acts of the Spanish scene. Thanks to a discography without ups and downs, heavily influenced by classic bands like the Bunnymen , Teenage Fanclub, REM or The Smiths amongst others.

La Habitación Roja improves with every new album released, spanning nine studio albums so far, including last year’s “La moneda al aire” (The coin in the air) (Mushroom Pillow )

They have won several awards in Spain and Mexico (Independent Music Awards and the IMAS Awards) have worked with renowned producers like Steve Albini (Nirvana , PJ Harvey, Pixies ) on two of their albums , and recorded their last one at Rockfield Studios in Wales . Spiritualized’s Tim Lewis even collaborated on the first album single release.

2015 marks their 20th Anniversary together as a band so this will be a year of celebrations for them with a commemorative release of the compilation "Veinte años de canciones, 1995 – 2015” ( Twenty years of songs , 1995-2015)" , and their next show at London´s Scala on Saturday 21st February, one of the most special ones in their career. There is plenty to celebrate.

Right after the live show another edition of the massive and very popular amongst Spaniards Mega Spanish Party club night kicks in. There’s a great vibe and atmosphere guaranteed till the early hours of Sunday morning.
