The Provoked Wife tells the outrageous story of one woman’s quest to show an inattentive husband what he’s missing. Staged in the beautiful 1733 church building of St Giles, theatre company Go People are returning this fabulously funny play to the origins of its Restoration setting.

A revolution in its time, Restoration theatre was staged anywhere there was space available, from disused tennis courts to ancestral family homes. In bringing The Provoked Wife to St Giles, this idea is revived, transforming the beautifully intimate atmosphere of this central London church into a bespoke theatre for the night.

The Provoked Wife is produced by theatre company Go People and directed by leading physical theatre director and Artistic Director of Delirium, Oliver Kaderbhai.
