"Can we prove that God exists?” is a question often heard in our schools, universities, places of worship and beyond. The answer has bearing not only on the individual, but on our social, political and scientific culture at large.

What are the processes by which we can understand whether God exists or not? Does science have any say in the matter? Does religious scripture offer unequivocal evidence of the divine?

Our two speakers for the event are prominent atheist Arif Ahmed, senior lecturer of Philosophy at Cambridge University and Ayyaz Mahmood Khan, scholar of comparative religion from the Ahmadiyya Muslim community. BBC news reporter and documentary maker Catrin Nye will chair what promises to be a fascinating and revealing dialogue."

The Real Dialogue brings together the world’s leading thinkers to examine life’s deepest questions, in pursuit of a world free from dogma, prejudice and irrational belief. We seek to develop fresh perspectives on the world’s burning issues, covering latest scientific developments, comparative religion, governance, economics and much more.

We do this by holding high profile events, open to the public, where they can see prominent scholars of our time debate and discuss these issues. The aim is not to preach to the choir nor to arrange a debating spectacle, but to discuss and inform in an intellectually nurturing environment.

Our events are ticketed and all proceeds go towards covering the costs of the event. All people working for The Real Dialogue are volunteers, we have no paid employees. We also aim to disseminate our findings to the public for free, through books, television and social media.

The Real Dialogue is an initiative of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, which carries the motto “LOVE FOR ALL, HATRED FOR NONE”.
