To celebrate the biggest solar eclipse for 18 years, Up at The O2 is offering adventurous Londoners an exclusive, early morning climb across the roof of the iconic entertainment venue. Upon reaching the viewing platform, visitors can enjoy watching this cosmic event unfold from 52 metres high.

Thrill-seeking climbers will begin the expedition at 8am to conquer the capital’s summit ahead of the solar eclipse, which takes place at 9.30am on Friday 20th March. Climbers will be rewarded with spectacular surroundings to observe this once in a lifetime opportunity. Guests will be provided with eclipse safety glasses and refreshments.

Steve Buchan, General Manager of Up at The O2 said:
“This is the first solar eclipse in 18 years and what better way to experience it than on top of The O2, a building that didn’t even exist the last time this happened. Our climbers will enjoy a view like no other in London, watching the eclipse as it bathes the river and Canary Wharf in darkness. We have specialist eye protection for all climbers ensuring they’ll not miss a thing.”

Up at The O2 will be exclusively offering tickets via Twitter on Wednesday 18th March, with only 10 pairs available to consumers. To be in with a chance, hopefuls must simply follow @UpatTheO2 and re-tweet the competition post and winners will be chosen at random.
