Acoustic Sunday returns on 2nd August with the second instalment of this summer’s season of outdoor community festivities – Acoustic Sunday has teamed up with Jam Sandwich Live’s network of musicians and artists to deliver a low sugar, high in fruit content line up like you’ve never tasted before!

A progressive community based music and media project created and nurtured by a team of dedicated volunteers, Acoustic Sunday’s Jam Sandwich is a free and accessible live music event for all, aiming to encourage community cohesion and creativity.

To get your auditory juices flowing, the Open-mic Session brings you an hors d'oeuvre of raw talent, with a range of delectable musical and spoken word acts who will grace the stage and ‘strut their stuff’.

For your mains expect a stellar line-up which includes a hearty serving of up and coming musicians - with performances from: fellow Londoner and self-taught guitarist Chris Woolf as well as Sandtimer’s unique combination of acoustic rock and lyrical folk music. Robert Rae & The L Shaped Room bring an eclectic mix of musicians and friends. Expect emotional lyrics and breath-taking tones from talented singer-songwriter Georgia Grace followed by the return of Ben Murphie and his finger-picking guitar and country harmonies.

Street food pop-up sensation 2 Fingers will be in residence to sooth away those hunger pangs with their esteemed fish finger sandwiches. If fish fingers don't float your boat, enter the 'BA Baracus Bean Buster Burger'(v) - lightly spiced with a slice of Swiss cheese and zingy home-made fresh salsa, and back by popular demand – Eton Mess, the decadent summertime treat perfect for a Sunday afternoon.

For your bit on the side there'll be the deliciously more-ish 2 Fingers Sweet Potato Fries with a light dusting of sweet smoked paprika whilst for those with their 2 fingers firmly on the pulse, there will be an exclusive ‘Meal Deal’ - ‘Po$h’ Finger Sandwich, Hand-cut Chips & Home-made Ginger Beer’ (£6) for the first through the doors from 2.30pm – 4.30pm.

To wash it all down choose from the ‘tipples of choice’ this month - Pic n’ Mix from a variety of G & T’s or shoot the summertime breeze with jugs of Pimms to share for £10 from the sensibly priced pop-up bar which will be sure to raise your spirits!

Recap Audio will be providing the professionally engineered sound and lighting system, whilst critically acclaimed stand-up comedian Tim Ballantine makes a welcome return as your master of ceremonies with some much needed intellectual wit and satire throughout the afternoon.

Help build this unique experimental project which aims to showcase diversity in music and the community. Why not make Acoustic Sunday’s Jam Sandwich your Sunday afternoon summer sweet treat!

Dominic Kasteel, Founding Member of Acoustic Sunday and Co-Director of Individio Media says,

“As we are all too aware, happy communities are important! Acoustic Sundays endeavours to re-create an informal, friendly atmosphere in relaxed surroundings, akin to a joyous Sunday afternoon in a rustic Mediterranean-esque village square. A live community music event free and accessible to all, which includes a sensibly priced bar and some of London’s finest street food pop-ups, we feel, we’re pretty much on target.”

Louise Wellby, Founder of Jam Sandwich Live says,

“Jam Sandwich was established in 2012 with a mission to create a platform and network for emerging artists and musicians. An escape from the chaos and noise of London, the jam provides a chance for artists and the people of the city to connect in a friendly space, listen and be heard. Having played the London circuit myself and experienced too many live music events with no spirit or sense of community, I created the jam - and it’s spreading!”
