Kouzu is a fine dining Japanese restaurant in Belgravia. The building itself is a grand historical Grade-II listed beautiful period mansion from the 1850's with a huge palatial entrance door, a floating mezzanine level upstairs which is an omakase sushi bar. The ground floor features the main 80-person seated restaurant and sexy cocktail bar
At the helm is superstar Chef Kyoichi Kai, who has over 30 years experience in some of the world's top restaurants including London's Zuma and The Arts Club.
His new style of Japanese cooking has a lightness of touch and is authentic yet creative.
The Pre-Theatre menu offers beautifully crafted food at excellent value. Two Courses £25pp - Three Courses £30pp including a glass of Prosecco (For a couple of the mains options there is a supplement of £5).
So if you happen to be going to a theatre near Victoria Station or Belgravia (monday -friday 6 - 7pm) such as the Apollo Victoria Theatre, Victoria Palace Theatre or the St James Theatre you have the opportunity to grab one of the best value quality Japanese meals in town.
If not, make the effort to go, either for lunch or for the sushi experience in the evening.
