The Rimbaud and Verlaine Foundation and Poet in the City present an evening of music celebrating some of the most beautiful songs in the French repertoire.

Gabriel Fauré's Requiem is justly famous, but his settings of Verlaine's poetry are equally brilliant. Hosted by internationally renowned pianists and scholars Roy Howat and Emily Kilpatrick, and featuring two of the Royal Academy of Music's finest young singers, this event will combine short talks and poetry readings with performances of all Fauré's Verlaine songs, including the passionate cycle La Bonne Chanson.

Join us for an extraordinary evening that will leave you in no doubt about the magic created when great poetry is set to great music!
