In a new take on the ‘vape café’ concept, blu eCigs are introducing London’s first flavour-altering, after hours café, where sour tastes will turn sweet with a limited-edition menu inspired by the flavours of blu eCigs.

Inside a Victorian toilet turned popular espresso and food bar, Londoners will have the chance to experience a new twist on classic flavours at the Taste The Season Café. Hosted by blu eCigs, the one-of-a-kind dining experience will use the science behind the miraculin berry to bring out a sweet side of traditionally bitter and sour foods. It’s the chance to taste lemons, yoghurt and black espresso like you’ve never tasted them before on Monday 28th, Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th September at The Attendant in Fitzrovia.

Miraculin, common referred to as the ‘miracle berry’, is a natural taste-modifier that binds on the tongue to heighten sweet taste receptors and send a signal to the brain to drown sour tastes with sweetness.

With the purchase of an espresso, coffee lovers and adult smokers will be given a miraculin tablet, a blu eCig and a sample plate of tart tastes to put the theory to the test – from plain yoghurt transformed to taste like vanilla ice cream, to lemons as sweet as lemonade and of course a black espresso – no sugar needed. Guests will also enjoy the enhanced sweet sensations of Cherry and bluBERRY as never before, all inspired by the flavours of blu eCigs. During the three day pop-up, the café will offer adult smokers the chance to sample the blu eCigs product range alongside the limited-edition menu.
