Urban Food Awards

Borough Market is hosting the fourth annual Urban Food Awards, celebrating the greatest culinary offerings to spring from the capital.

The awards will recognise the entrepreneurs behind the Capital’s best produce across a range of categories, including locally-reared organic sausages, urban ales and salad leaves plucked fresh from city gardens. Backed by Boris Johnson, the awards have sought out the very best locally-produced food and drink, with the shortlist compiled by the chair of London Food, Rosie Boycott, alongside acclaimed chefs Rowley Leigh and Oliver Rowe.

Borough Market will be providing attendees on the night with a delicious spread of locally produced food and drink from its traders.

The Urban Food Awards are part of the Urban Food Routes Initiative, which provides support and business advice to London’s small growers, producers and sellers.

The awards are run in partnership with Seeds of Change, Plunkett Foundation, London Food Link, Borough Market and the Evening Standard.
