First established in March 2012, Out-Spoken London is the creation of Anthony Anaxagorou, whose vision to excavate such coveted UK talent has been firmly realised. A monthly night that blends the best of spoken-word poetry, hip-hop and lyrically-driven live music.

Poetry:

Rebecca Goss:- Rebecca Goss is a British poet who was nominated for the 2013 Forward Prize for Best Collection of Poetry for "Her Birth". She was one of the Poetry Book Society's 20 poets of the next generation and in 2015 was nominated for the Warwick Prize for Writing.

Kristiana Colón:- Poet, playwright, and actor Kristiana Colón earned a BA at the University of Chicago and an MFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her poems explore romantic and personal transformation, often making use of unconventional punctuation and capitalization. The author of the chapbook pieces of shedu (2008), Colón has also performed on HBO’s Def Poetry Jam. Her honors include a Pushcart Prize nomination, and her work has been included in Dzanc Books’ Best of the Web 2010 and the anthologies Not a Muse: The Inner Lives of Women, a World Poetry Anthology (2009) and Chorus: A Literary (Re)Mixtape (2012).

Andrew McMillan:- Andrew McMillan lectures in Creative Writing at Liverpool John Moores University. His first full-length collection, ‘physical’, was published by Jonathan Cape in July 2015 and has since been shortlisted for the The Felix Dennis Prize for Best First Collection.

Music:

Kingpin:- London born and raised hip-hop artist Kingpin made his mark on the underground music scene with his thought provoking social content, explosive rhythmical delivery and high-energy stage presence. His debut album The Art Of Survival has been hailed as crucial social commentary from the likes of Russell Brand.

Randolph Matthews:- Returning to the Out-Spoken stage for the second time because he's that damn good, Randolph’s unique blend of Jazz, soul and ethnic beatbox has him following his love for interactive performance around the globe with a string of established artist in the last few years such as Plan B, Grace Jones, Shlomo, (Edinburgh fringe tour) The Soil and world/ jazz bass player Richard Bona plus regular performance for the London Jazz festival and Ronnie Scotts Jazz audiences. His recent collaboration with Young voices choir took Randolph with 6,000 children up and down England from Manchester arena to the Royal Albert Hall performing to more than 500,000 people over two years alongside Alexandra burke, Beverley Knight and Irish folk singers The High Kings.

Out-Spoken is presented by Anthony Anaxagorou, Karim Kamar, and Sam Bromfield.
