Pioneer

Over three days - through films, talks (or campfires as we like to call them), slideshows, music, poetry and storytelling we’re going deep in to the epic outdoors. We have several camps with a number of events and films on a theme, some standalone films and a festival within a festival on the Saturday night.

Pioneer is the result of a lifelong obsession with everything outdoors. The sea, the sky, mountains, trees, rivers, campfires, walking, surfing, swimming, and all of the images, stories and legends that go with it.

Over one weekend, this brand new ‘field trip’ to the Hackney Picturehouse on 25th, 26th, 27th September 2015 will bring together a series of films, talks and events inspired by the epic outdoors.

Exploring everything from the sartorial excellence of Everest climbers to the radness of So-Cal skaters, and taking in iconic adventurers, sea shanties, wildmen and music festivals in between.
