Rent is an icon in musical theatre - an anthem to life and love. Exploding onto the New York stage in 1993 before making it to Broadway by 1996. Made famous by it rock score and undeniable humanity, giving a voice of hope in a moment of struggles for communities of NYC and beyond.

At its heart Rent is about friendship, love and loss. Although Rent is set in the 1990’s many of the themes are relevant today. Connection, loss, illness, poverty, gay rights… the list is long which is the reason why it is loved by so many people.
