Melodic and explosive, experience the power of authentic flamenco improvisation; a musical dialogue between two masters of flamenco.
Taking inspiration from a myriad of influences, including the gypsy culture of Rajesthan, the Byzantine chants, the Hebraic and Moorish laments and the sounds of Argentina and Cuba.
Flamenco has inspired many composers in the classical world and Juan and Chaparro will perform the famous Malagueñas of Lecuona and a version of Rodrigo’s adagio from the Aranjuez concerto.
Juan Martín is a spectacular flamenco guitarist, twice voted one of the world's top three exponents by 'Guitar Player' magazine. A native of Andalucia, he has recorded 20 albums mostly as a composer. He has played with the Royal Philharmonic and greats like Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock.
