London’s only festival dedicated to writers and writing is returning to Peckham this October with an even bigger programme showcasing some of the UK’s hottest young authors, alongside cabaret, pub crawls, walks, talks, film, parties, workshops and writing masterclasses.
The festival aims to nurture new writing talent and create a community for wordsmiths. This year over 150 writers and performers are taking part in events across 20 venues.
The programme includes a death café, a sex salon, haiku jam and a truly epic lit crawl on Friday night, with 70 performers in pubs and venues across South London. There is an expanded, two-day Independent Publishers’ Fair showcasing the best of Britain’s grassroots literary and art publishing; the popular Agent-Led Dog Walk with literary agents Carrie Kania and Jo Unwin; and ‘cover letter triage’ sessions for would-be published writers.
