The Fugitives & Fur Acoustic

The Fugitives

After eight years of relentless touring through Canada and Europe, songwriters Adrian Glynn and Brendan McLeod of The Fugitives hopped yet another plane, this time to Toronto, where they recorded a new EP and full-length with producer John Critchley (Dan Mangan, Elliot BROOD, Amelia Curran). The resulting EP, “Bigger than Luck”, rode the !earshot national folk charts for ten weeks. The full-length, “Everything Will Happen”, was nominated for ‘Roots Recording of the Year’ at the 2014 Western Canadian Music Awards and ‘Vocal Group of the Year” at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. It caught the ear of Canadian music legend, Buffy Sainte-Marie, who invited them to support her on her Western Canada tour, and the ear of programmers at UK’s famed Glastonbury Music Festival, where the band played last summer. The Fugitives have two previous albums, “In Streetlight Communion” and “Eccentrically We Love”. They are signed to Light Organ Records.

Fur Acoustic
A 21st century UK hip-hop ensemble with musical arrangements that incorporate west African-influenced polyphony, contemporary jazz and a diversity of styles akin to the digital sampling that defined early 90s hip-hop.
