Tashkezar

Tashkezar are a six-piece band playing an explosive mixture of all things Eastern – melodies from the wild steppes of Eastern Europe, rhythms from the sandy deserts of Eastern Arabia and harmonies inspired by the trade winds blowing down to East Africa. They are all about shifting musical boundaries - from three part vocal harmonies, to balkan brass lines and celtic inspired fiddle playing; and shifting perspectives and atmospheres, from wild floor-shaking bass lines to delicately beautiful melodies.
