"Mark Crooks... exceptional" BBC Radio 3

If you like Scott Hamilton, Zoot Sims or Lester Young, you will love Mark's playing. Mark Crooks has played in all of London's top jazz venues and at jazz festivals up and down the country, including a week opposite the Mingus Big Band at Ronnie Scott's. He regularly plays with the John Wilson Orchestra and Back To Basie, and was invited to be the feature clarinettist with an otherwise all-American band at the Lincoln Centre in New York.

A newcomer to the British jazz scene, pianist Gabriel Latchin is fast becoming recognised as one of the country's leading accompanists. His hard-swinging, adventurous approach often draws comparisons to his many influences, including Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans and Phineas Newborn.

BopFest! is a new jazz festival running from November 17th to 22nd 2015 during the EFG London Jazz Festival, featuring a week of the best of British bebop and straight ahead jazz, hosted in the beautiful Victorian wood-panelled music room at The Elgin in Ladbroke Grove, central London. The venue features a Yamaha grand piano and sound system, with cabaret style seating in front of the stage, with a capacity for 80 people. Food - The Elgin has an excellent kitchen - and drinks are available during the music.
