Kill Your Friends - London Film Premiere

1997 is a good year to be in the music industry in London. Britpop is filling the airwaves, with the likes of Oasis, Blur, and The Verve racking up No.1 hits like there’s no tomorrow. Even teeny girl and boy bands with questionable talent are selling truckloads of records in all four corners of the globe.

Steven Stelfox works as an A&R man for a major label and life couldn’t be much better. His great success means that money, women, booze, and drugs all seem to come in abundance – what else would a selfish, materialistic, and reckless 27-year-old man ask for?

Things seem to come to a grinding halt when the bubble bursts and the bands start to split up. The fickle public move on to new sounds and suddenly Steven feels left behind, with his career on the slide.

Driven by greed and a will to succeed, he decides that the only way to get back to the top is to get rid of the competition…
