2015 marks the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, a vital turning point in world history! Now's your chance to watch the infamous Battle of Waterloo performed in a 19th century Toy Theatre!

Young Blood and his Esteemed Company of Strolling Players present an authentic recreation of a classic nineteenth century hippodrama on an outsize recreation of a Regency toy theatre.

The Battle of Waterloo was first performed at Astley’s Amphitheatre in 1824 where the action was recreated in a circus ring with an enormous cast and real horses. It was a terrific success and instantly adapted for the toy theatre. This diverting entertainment, using the authentic printed characters and scenes of the period, was performed to unbounded applause at The British Museum earlier this year to commemorate the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo.

A re-enactment with a twist!
