The Night Shift is all about putting classical music in new places, in front of new people. You’re encouraged to have a drink in your hand, or document it all on Instagram, or move around, clap, cheer. This event is all about doing things differently.
And The Night Shift is trying something new yet again – a night of solo violin at St John’s Smith Square, a beautiful old church tucked away behind Westminster. No orchestra. No backing band. Just one violin and the works of J S Bach. Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment leader Matthew Truscott introduces world-renowned violinist, Rachel Podger, for an intimate, moodily-lit gig in a venue with spectacular solo acoustics.
Join them earlier for a drink and support acts.
