In the heart of London’s busy Covent Garden, the London Graphic Centre flagship store is hosting its very first Christmas Fair on Saturday 12th December - from 1-6pm. The art and graphics retailer, which has been a creative hub for the capital’s artists and designers for over forty years, is aiming to provide festive inspiration for London’s creative community as well as for folk simply looking to buy for those hard-to-please creative sorts.

A number of brands will be showcasing their wares at the Christmas Fair with festive stalls, mulled wine and mince pies laid on to get you into the seasonal spirit. A number of professional artists will be on hand to demonstrate the creative possibilities of the products. Our friends from MT Washi Tape will be highlighting the virtues of this bright and colourful tape. Washi tape is a relatively new phenomenon from Japan that comes in a huge range of patterns and designs. It can be even used to add finishing touches to Christmas wrapping to make your presents really stand out. Watch out for London artist Esther Ellard, who will be demonstrating the versatility of the product as she creates an outsized, interactive Washi Christmas Tree live in store.

Perhaps the biggest innovation story of the year is the launch of the new Winsor & Newton Pigment Markers. See these amazing new markers in action in the hands of graphic designer, Phill Blake. For artists like Phill, who will be creating customised winter scenes on the day, there has been no innovation quite like it. The extensive range of colours in the range can be blended like paint and what’s more, the colours won’t fade. An exclusive set of 10 markers is exclusively available at London Graphic Centre for a limited time only.

The LGC Christmas Fair will also be showcasing one of the year’s most durable art trends – adult and children’s colouring in books, postcards and posters. Renown for their therapeutic properties, these beguiling designs will be available in seasonal variants. A leading force behind the trend is OMY, who will be inviting attendees to doodle away on its new Christmas-themed posters. And what better partner to have at the event than graphics pencil brand Derwent. On the brand’s stall you will find artist Emma Wilde, who specialises in graphic art using graphite and colour pencils.

Also on the day, German notebook brand Leuchtturm1917 will provide an incredible opportunity to personalise their stylish and popular gifts with a free-with-purchase embossing offer. For those familiar with the world of embossing, Leuchtturm1917 will offer both foil and blind options on the day - on a first come, first served basis.
