Chickenshed & Talkies Community Cinema present: Amy

Talkies Community Cinema hosts film and documentary screenings and enjoyable events in the borough of Enfield. Their annual HERE Film Festival programme includes small independent British productions that have some connection with the area, and which celebrates local talent.

In partnership with Talkies Community Cinema and as part of the festival, Chickenshed will be screening the riveting 2015 documentary, Amy.

Amy follows the life of the once-in-a-generation talent, Southgate girl Amy Winehouse - a musician that captured the world’s attention. Amy was a pure jazz artist in the most authentic sense, writing and singing from the heart using her musical gifts to analyse her problems. The combination of her raw honesty and supreme talent resulted in some of the most unique and adored songs of the modern era. From the director who brought us SENNA, this is the story of Amy Winehouse in her own words, featuring unseen archival footage and unheard tracks.

Celebrating local talent, Chickenshed’s exciting Youth Band will be performing before the screening.
