Our CLoSer series is transported to New York as Village Underground is transformed into a jazz club for this special event. Exploring the musical marriage of the legendary trumpeter Miles Davis and composer/arranger Gil Evans, hear music from those four studio albums that re-defined what jazz musicians can do with classical music. Meanwhile Gwilym Simcock, a great friend of our CLoSer series, joins the orchestra to deliver his own re-imaginings of these arrangements, alongside his jazz-tinged contribution to our ‘Bach RE:Imagined’ series.
