Brizzle Tech: DJ's Lurk & Wicki

Bristol has always stood out on its own when it come to music and culture. Tonight, we bring over 2 DJs who are well known in the underground scene, for a night of full flavour techno.

Lurk is old enough to know better, and has been immersed in the electronic music since 1993, playing his first gig in 1998. He is currently a Liquid Records label DJ, and resident and co-promoter at Planet Shroom in Bristol, a psytrance club night with a fast growing reputation as one of the best in the country.

Lurk's taste in music covers a large section of modern psychedelia from trippy techno to gnarly psybreaks and tech-funk to psytrance. The unifying theme being quality production, unrelenting grooves and acid drenched leads He is well known for being able to build a set which allows a smooth transition from one point on the psychedelic, sonic spectrum to a totally different one. Wicki moved from the Viking realm of Denmark to the UK in 1999 and soon found herself drawn behind a pair of technics 2010’s, learning to DJ. Her passion for electronic music was initially fuelled by Psy Trance but over the years her BPM of choice has gone down and these days find herself floating around in a sea of luscious techno and electronica! Currently a label DJ for Liquid Records and a resident at Tribe of Frog she can also be found at funky festies around the UK, and sometimes beyond, during summer.
