Iconic St Katharine Docks, Central London’s only Marina, will be celebrating the nation’s favourite hot beverage for British National Tea Day by hosting a free tea dance on the Piazza on 21st April.

There will be special tea tasting throughout the day between 12pm-8pm along with cake and crumpets, and Tom’s Kitchen will also be marking the occasion by providing a unique deal serving tea, scones and jam for £4.

Furthermore, in honour of this celebration, renowned travelling tea dancers, The Ragroof Players, are coming to the Docks to hold one of their famous Tea Dances. A fantastic participatory event featuring authentic vintage music from the 1920s to the 1950s and beyond, glamorous costumes and glorious dance displays, the Docks will be embracing its history with this unique tea party.

Ragroof host distinctive dance classes using a number of popular dance rhythms, ensuring everyone enjoys themselves and gets their dancing shoes on. Everyone from beginners to advanced dancers is welcome to participate so come along on your own, with your friends or with a partner and enjoy the fun! There will be two sets of lessons with The Ragroof Players, between 12pm-2pm and 6pm-8pm.

Visitors are invited to visit St Katharine Docks to celebrate this this special day to learn how to dance with the Ragroof Players, take part in an afternoon tea tasting or simply enjoy a cuppa and cake overlooking the docks.
