The Brick Lane Gallery is excited to invite you to our Spring WORKS ON PAPER exhibition. As the title implies, the show will bring together various local and international artists whose works focus on the medium of paper, reflecting their unique approach and intuitive engagement with their creative process. The eclectic exhibition offers a comprehensive collection exploring different themes through a wide range of techniques including collages, drawings, etchings, inks and prints.

Amongst these many talents artists we have the works by Ann Marie Walsh who enjoys taking everyday objects, landscapes and the like to either a more simplified or complex state of viewing. Her artwork engages you to see more than meets the eye, and her love for colour is an evident driving force. Ann Marie's interest in travel has often been a catalyst for her subject matter, trying to capture the impression it has left with vibrant colours, shapes and textures. Neil Ratnavira is a self-taught artist whose style has evolved over the years. He is passionate about abstract art and the humans behind the work, never using conventional tools or brushes, he pushes the limits of the paint and himself. His pieces are dynamic, intense, and draw the viewers into exploring them, interpreting them freely and see beyond the painted surface.

You are warmly welcome to join us for a drink with the artists at the opening night of WORKS ON PAPER at The Brick Lane Gallery – The Annexe open from 6pm-8.30pm on Wednesday 27th April 2016.
