Macmillan Cancer Support's Lords Vs Commons Tug of War

Teams of Lords and MPs will roll up their sleeves to battle in the 30th year of Macmillan Cancer Support’s famous House of Lords vs. House of Commons Tug of War event, which takes place on Monday 6 June 2016 in the Westminster College Gardens. All money raised will help Macmillan ensure that no one faces cancer alone.

The match is a unique spectacle in the Westminster social calendar, and teams made up of rival city firms, the military and the event’s associate sponsor Taylor Wimpey will join the Lords and MPs to exhibit their strength, raising vital funds and stirring up Parliamentary rivalries all in the name of charity.

Now in its 30th year, Macmillan’s Tug of War event has raised over £3 million to enable Macmillan to support people affected by cancer. With 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today, these funds are more vital than ever before.
