On Wednesday 15 June, pioneering start-up The Collective will transform Old Street’s Magic Roundabout into an Alice in Wonderland-themed space for a series of events aimed at encouraging the ‘Chance Encounter’. Offering everything from morning yoga to afternoon tea, the day will culminate in a 700-person party in association with Wonderland Magazine, headlined by internationally acclaimed DJ Nic Fanciulli. All events are open to the public, with some ticketed due to expected demand.

Daybreaker will kick-off proceedings with two events: a deep house yoga session from 6am-7am followed by a dance party from 7am-10am hosted by MC Mad Hatter. Spoon Cereals’ tasty breakfast bowls with Co Yo yoghurt, Graze boxes and Kind energy bars will be available to keep energy levels up throughout the sessions.

From 10.30am-12pm, Chaiparty in association with Grub Club will be staging a brunch, while from 12pm-2pm Urban Massage will be on hand to help you relax during your lunch break. Beauty concierge Ruuby will also be on-site over lunchtime to host a manicure session for visitors from 12pm-3pm. To round-off the lunchtime offering, you can experience 1980s-style yoga with House of Voga from 1pm-2pm.

Enjoy naughty versus nice salads from The Collective’s brand new restaurant at Old Oak – the common – from 2pm-3pm. Opening on 1 July, the kitchen, bar & grill at Old Oak will offer a well-travelled balanced menu that’s big on sharing. It’s certainly the case for this Chance Encounter, as visitors can enjoy salads for free – check out the site to see how.

The space will then become a co-working hub from 3pm until 5pm, with superfast wi-fi, before acoustic music platform Coffee House Sessions – which provides exposure for emerging artists – takes to the stage from 5pm-7pm.

As dusk falls, the party begins. A day of activities will culminate in a very special disco and house classics set from Grammy-nominated producer and internationally acclaimed DJ Nic Fanciulli, who just launched his WE ARE THE NIGHT residency at Pacha, Ibiza, and had his remix for Jamie XX named ‘Hottest Record in The World’ on BBC Radio 1 last week.
