Acclaimed American ensemble the Young People’s Symphony Orchestra (YPSO), from California, will be giving a unique concert at St John's, Smith Square in London on Wednesday 29 June. These talented young musicians, under the direction of Maestro David Ramadanoff, will be performing works by Jeremy Cavaterra and Elgar. Special guests, the South East London Orchestra have been invited to share this performance. The ensemble, directed by David Smith, is one of London’s leading amateur orchestras with a reputation for exciting, high quality concerts

All proceeds will support Music in Hospitals. Music in Hospitals (MiH) is a charity whose mission is to improve the quality of life for adults and children with all kinds of illness and disability through the joy and therapeutic benefits of professionally performed live music in hospitals, hospices, day care centres, special schools and care homes.

This concert is part of a wider UK tour which will see YPSO give a performance of Carmina Burana with the University of Warwick Chorus at Coventry Cathedral on Friday 24 June and play a joint concert with the University of Warwick Symphony Orchestra at Warwick Arts Centre's Butterworth Hall on Saturday 25 June.
