We are constantly being asked for ideas on preparing and cooking vegetables as a side dish. With the emphasis on ‘5 a day’ and being encouraged to eat a diet filled with pulses and green, leafy veg we felt that the time was ripe to do a class showcasing our favourite vegetable recipes.
You will be welcomed with a snack before you start cooking. At the end of the class you will sit together around the Cookery School table to taste and enjoy the finest of vegetable feasts accompanied by red and white wine followed by a lovely dessert.
You will learn to cook:
grilled lettuce salad with herb vinaigrette
braised fennel
beetroot salad with a sweet and sour dressing
rosti potatoes
petits pois a la Francaise
asparagus and hollandaise
artichoke – preparation and cooking served with vinaigrette
new potato salad
wilted spinach with lemon and brown butter sauce
