CARE Pakistan invites you to a special sufi-rock music evening on 28th July!
One of Pakistan’s leading contemporary musicians, Arieb Azhar has lived in Croatia for over a decade where he was a key member of an Irish band; his musical repertoire therefore spans from beloved traditional Sufi and folk songs to Roma music and Irish Ditties. Gifted with a magical voice, Arieb can deliver the poetry of Faiz with as much ease and soul as a Johny Cash song.
As an extra-special treat, opening the evening is the fantastic Side Partition, who were just featured in the BBC Series “UK’s Best Part-Time Band”. Side Partition are a London-based pop-rock fusion collective. This is an ensemble of versatile musicians, each with a unique set of inspirations from the East and the West, resulting in a refreshing and unique form of fusion music.
To be held in the cool, relaxed atmosphere of the Nomad Club (http://nomadlondon.com/), a stone’s throw from Old Street and Barbican tube stations, this is an evening not to be missed. And to top it all off, all profits go to education in Pakistan.
We look forward to seeing you there!
