Barts and Staibano host an Aperitivo Evening

Celebrate La Dolce Vita at Chelsea’s hidden speakeasy, Barts, with an Aperitivo Evening, hosted by the premier Italian Lemon Liqueur brand, Staibano.

On Thursday 29th September, luxurious Italian Liqueur brand, Staibano brings a taste of the Amalfi coastline to West London. Staibano’s light and sweet alcoholic lemon cream liqueur recipe has been delighting visitors to the stunning Italian holiday spot since 1932. This iconic drink, produced with the finest lemons in Amalfi, is sure to bring the party spirit of the golden age of the Mediterranean to Uncle Barts’.

The evening begins at 6pm, as guests will be treated to welcome cocktails, crafted by the talented Barts team, and all inspired by the fresh, subtle creaminess of the newly launched Staibano Amalfi Smooth. This authentic Lemon Liqueur, filled with the flavour of the finest Amalfi lemons, is inspired by the story of prodigious party boy Don Vincenzo Staibano, whose secretive Southern Italian family recipe has been passed down through generations.

Throughout the evening, frozen Staibano-based cocktails, bursting with the distinctive flavours of world-renowned Amalfi lemons, each in one of the colours of Italy’s beloved il Tricolore, will be flowing from Uncle Barts’ bar. The Paradiso Sul Mare, is a simple yet sophisticated combination of smooth Staibano, White Bacardi, sweet sugar syrup and pineapple juice, elegantly finished in true Staibano style with a fresh basil leaf. Another tempting tipple, Rimanerci di Stucco sees light and creamy Staibano, topped up with summery fruity flavours of elderflower cordial and apple juice, garnished with fresh strawberries and cucumber. Guests will be left longing for more, as they sip on Lungo Addio (The Long Goodbye), a seductive mix of coconut cream and silky Staibano, perfectly balanced with dark and intense Bacardi Negara and three drops of Jerry Thomas Bitters.

Barts will be embracing the Italian ‘Aperitivo’ tradition, of wetting one’s appetite in the early evening, offering a selection of mouth-watering canapés, providing the ideal complement to the Staibano serves. Guests can enjoy the last of the summer sunshine, relaxing and lounging, or delighting in fun and games in Barts’ very own garden. As the sun sets, live music from an energetic Italian band, will be raising the tempo, as guests join Uncle Barts and Staibano to toast to the best of Italian heritage.
