"The Balkan Wanderers, whose Eastern European/Gypsy/ Klezmer folk mash-up was the musical equivalent of a fiery shot of absinthe....It’s the kind of music that keeps Romany weddings going on for days."
- The Oxford Times

The Balkan Wanderers are a 5-piece Balkan-inspired gypsy-ska-punk band, based in Oxford. Consisting of singer Antica Culina (from Croatia), Stuart Wigby on guitar/vocals, Clare Heaviside on clarinet, Marc Witte (from Germany) on bass, and Emma Coombs on drums, we create original East (European)-meets-West songs, often containing a mixture of English and Croatian styles and lyrics. We take inspiration from traditional Balkan, Gypsy and Klezmer music as well as the contemporary punk-ska scene. Available for parties & revolutions.

The band have received radio support from Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music), Ruth Barnes on Amazing Radio, and BBC Oxford Introducing.

Support from Arhai and more TBA!
