A Peninsula Christmas

We make our own traditions on the Peninsula. Wrapped up by the Thames and glittering with new homes and communities, our Christmas this year promises twist after twist on the usual festive customs.

We’ve been working with Secret Productions – the team behind Wilderness Festival – to create special moments for all of you who still believe in Christmas magic. It’s a free event for adults and children alike.

The Amphitheatre
There’ll always be something to see or dance to or laugh at or marvel with on the Peninsula this season as The Amphitheatre in the Enchanted Forest lines up an eclectic mix of artists and performers. Everything from calypso choirs to carol-singing to festive story-telling, and from folksy bands to smooth soloists will be waiting for you.

Tepee Snug Bar
With open fires, seasonal cocktails, mulled wine and cider, and a hot hog roast this is the cosiest teepee you’ll ever be in.

Our Teepee Snug Bar welcomes you with open fires, seasonal cocktails, mulled wine and cider and a hot hog roast. Around the tent you’ll find blankets, hot water bottles and fire bowls to keep you toasty.

Designer-Maker Christmas Market
Discover unusual gifts and delicious food at our bustling Designer-Maker Christmas Market.

Dozens of the coolest individual makers, bakers, cooks and craftspeople offer creative wares to browse. Delicious food stalls to discover including Ostrich burgers, wood-fired pizzas, homemade cakes and juicy hog roasts.

The Enchanted Forest and Seasonal Staircase
You can’t really be friends with someone who doesn’t get giddy at the idea of exploring an enchanted forest, can you? Collaborating with celebrated artist Spencer Jenkins, we’ve transformed our Peninsula Garden on the edge of Peninsula Square into a magical enchanted forest.

We’ve also transformed NOW Gallery’s spiral staircase into a living celebration of winter. A cascade of sculptural ‘shields’ display opulent floral and seasonal fruit arrangements that are bursting with vibrant colours.
