SicilyFest

PopUpMarketSicily returns to Bishops Square on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May with the third edition of SicilyFEST, a Sicilian-themed two-day event.

SicilyFEST will transform Bishops Square into a typical and traditional Sicilian street market. A showcase of the very best the sun-drenched island in the heart of the Mediterranean has to offer.

The array of stalls will include handmade jewellery, unique accessories, crafts and home interiors; in addition, visitors will – literally – have a taste of Sicily with a wide selection of cannoli, arancini, pasta, marmalades, jams, sweet and savoury preserves, desserts, craft beers and wines. Every mouthful will give visitors a sense of Sicily’s intoxicating vitality.

Highlights of the weekend will be: photographic exhibitions, music and a special treat for the kids with a unique performance of the Sicilian Marionettes and Puppets Theatre (Opera dei Pupi), a tradition dating back to the 13th century.
