Location: Urban Makers Summer Makers’ Market at The Ecology Pavilion, Mile End

Are you looking for a new hobby and want to learn new ways to express your creativity? Or maybe you are just in the need of the new artwork for your home? Come and join Maya from Artistic Side of Life at this creative workshop where you will explore the history of collage and create a unique collage that you can take home and hang on your wall.

Part of the beauty of collage is its flexibility: It can employ many different media, including painting and drawing, paper, photomontage, wood, mosaic and of course, digital media.

It is something we can all relate to—Many of us first experimented with it as youngsters, creating humble masterpieces for family and friends with scissors, pages from old magazines, newspapers, and glue.

You don’t have to bring anything. all the material will be provided to you and by the end of the class you will have beautiful print to take home and frame. Feel free to bring some of your own photography or printed material that you would like to use as a part of the collage.
