KinoVino: Back to USSR. Russian food and film

KinoVino, London's exciting supper club that uses cinema as inspiration for the meals, launches a new series of events at Haggerston’s trendy spot - SHED London. A spin off series from the main monthly KinoVino events, these smaller gatherings will be dedicated to food and film from Eastern Europe. KinoVino’s founder, Alissa Timoshkina, will serve delicious menus, while the curated programme of films will be dedicated to women in Eastern European cinema. Teaming up with SHED’s wine boutique, these gatherings will serve a selection of exclusive wines, paired with each menu.

Join us on 10 June to savour Russian food and watch one of the best and most controversial at its time Soviet films - Little Vera (1988), a raw and honest depiction of troubled youth at the collapse of the Soviet regime. You can look forward to traditional Russian dishes in modern interpretation, including, a buckwheat mushroom risotto and a watermelon vodka sorbet.
